2022 Culinary Passport

Pikes Peak Chefs is the sole Colorado Chapter of the American Culinary Federation.

Our Chapter is an IRS recognized 501(c)3, Non Profit. Our Mission is to promote education, networking, culinary excellence and community involvement across Colorado.We have been coordinating fundraisers since our inception so that we may give back to our community. ACF Pikes Peak Chefs Culinary Passport fundraisers first year was 2015, continuing through 2019 with a break for Covid19. The Culinary Passport theme was selected as a way to challenge our Chefs to bring global flavors to our guests. Our very first was to thank the Colorado Springs Fire Department for their lifesaving efforts during The Waldo Canyon Fire by providing all of the 21 Fire Stations with Thank You Gourmet dinners prepared by our Members, Guest Chefs and our Student members at Pikes Peak Community College. In the following years we have donated a portion of our fundraiser to The Springs Rescue Mission, Silver Key Senior Services, Care and Share and educational endowments for our Members.

We grant endowments in the form of entrance fees for our student members at Pikes Peak Community College and Pueblo Community College to enter national ACF Sanctioned competitions. Members also volunteer as coaches, mentors and competitors in mock competition and judges. Members in good standing can also apply for educational endowments.

The 2022 Culinary Passport will be on 23 April at the Skills Academy Vocational Center. Chef set up will be at 4:30. The Skills Academy Vocational Center will be this year’s recipient of an endowment from our Culinary Passport. The Culinary Passport is our only Fundraiser that will provide an endowment for The Skills Academy Vocational Center and endowments for continueing culinary education for our members.

Global Savory taste will be presented from Chefs representing: USA, ITALY, JAMAICA, SICILY, CHILE, SWEDEN, GREECE, ROMANIA, SPAIN, COLOMBIA, IVORY COAST, and FRANCE. Wines and Beer will be available for tasting along with Sweet Ending Bites and Coffee. Be ready for very active bidding on many great Silent Auction items including a Dinner and an Overnight Stay for 2 at The Broadmoor.
