2022 Hummingbird Festival

Join us on May 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Hummingbird Festival at the Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center. There will be a variety of fun and educational presentations for people of all ages.

Schedule:

• 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: Visit vendors for hummingbird-friendly plants and hummingbird feeders, observe hummingbirds in the Chris Byers Memorial Hummingbird Garden and on the trails
• 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Native Plants for Hummingbirds, Dr. Irene Shonle, El Paso County Horticulture Agent, Colorado Native Plant Master
• 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.: All About Hummingbirds, Brenda Holmes-Stanciu
• 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Raptor Center Presentation
• 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: All About Hummingbirds, Brenda Holmes-Stanciu

Please consider carpooling to the event as we anticipate parking will be limited due to ongoing construction of the road and adjacent parking lots in North Cheyenne Cañon Park.
