23rd Annual Wunderkind Call for Art and Show Opening

The Manitou Art Center has a call for art out for the 23rd annual Wunderkind High School Art Exhibit. Wunderkind has been a mainstay in the MAC’s gallery schedule since its inception, and has provided an outlet for young artists of all media to showcase their hard work, talent, and artistic passion.

Wunderkind gives High School Juniors and Seniors in the Pikes Peak region the opportunity to display their work in a professional gallery environment. Every step of the process, from application, jurying, show opening and display is handled as any professional show would. This exposes the students to the process of how a gallery works and prepares them for other gallery shows further down the road in their career.

Tuesday, 15 February: Applications Due, including high quality digital images
Saturday, 19 February: Jury reviews submissions
Tuesday, 22 February: Acceptance notifications emailed to students
Sat, March 26 & Tues, 29 March: Artwork Intake at the MAC
Tuesday, 29-31 March: Exhibition installed
Friday, 1 April: First Friday Opening
Saturday, 30 April: Students collect artwork at the end of the show
