3rd Annual National Poetry & Jazz Month Story Time and FUNraiser Closing

On Saturday, April 23, 2022, Lil’ Miss Story Hour will partner with Converge to host their 3rd Annual National Poetry & Jazz Story Time!  We will highlight past and present-day poets and elevate poets in the Colorado Springs community through stories, art activies, and live performances.  In addition to celebrating National Poetry & Jazz Month, this event will also be the last of in-person FUNraising events. It will include a silent disco ($10) and raffle drawing!

Book readings will include, Out of Wonder by Kwame Alexander; Hey, Black Child by Useni Eugene Perkins, and Before John Was a Jazz Giant by Carole Boston Weatherford.

Special guests will be Poet, Kalani Lesane; Poet and Activist, Goddess Tyescha; and MC and Rapper, Stoney B.

The silent disco will be from 1:40 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. Tickets for the silent disco are $10. Price will increase as event gets closer.
