Laura’s boldly colored paintings show Colorado coming to life as her wildflowers and hillsides leap exuberantly into their spring finery.
Deep textures highlight the contrast between the elegant but brief nature of early season high country wildflowers.
Evolved to attract bees and butterflies with their intense yellow, orange, pink and purple blooms, wildflowers hide nectar inside their small clustered bud, offering food and energy. Wildflower season was jubilantly welcomed by early Coloradans as a symbols of hope and endurance after a long brutally cold winter.
Anticipation opens May 4th and runs through the end of May.
