'Apophenia'

Robbie Blum hails from Southern CA but has called Colorado home since the mid 90’s.

His artistic journey has been a tumultuous one filled with stops and starts, failures and successes, his latest work combines multimedia abstraction and figurative elements. Using the concept of apophenia, he builds his pieces layer by layer until a theme, or figurative element reveals itself. Themes related of mental health, permeate his works and his love of the figure is evident in most all of his pieces.
