Jone family’s story and how they fit into southern Colorado history.
Colorado native, Jim Compton graduated from Wesson High School and attended School of Mines.
After a 37-year career in the oil and gas industry, Jim and wife Sally moved back to Colorado.
He has researched the history of southern and western Colorado and his own family’s role in that story.
