Catherine Sikora Mingus, jazz saxophone

Catherine Sikora will perform on tenor saxophone a variety of improvisations and a new composition ‘des os’ (for tenor saxophone, with pre-recorded saxophone and electronics).

Sikora’s solo improvisations are informed by the space and location of each performance, responding to the unique resonant, tonal and energetic characteristics of each room and the people in the room, and how they affect the feeling of the space.
