The Victorian Art Workshop Series continues with the stunning creation of your very own Cyanotype Photography, no equipment needed!
The cyanotype process, also known as the blueprint process, was first introduced by John Herschel (1792 – 1871) in 1842. Sir John was an astronomer, trying to find a way of copying his notes.
Cyanotypes are considered now an alternative and historical photography process. To make a cyanotype, you can expose your photo sensitive paper to the sun or to a UV source, rinse in cold water, and dry. The end result and image is a beautiful blue known as "Prussian Blue."
