Day of the Mushroom

Today is the Day Of The Mushroom! And what better way to celebrate than to welcome back Austen Brinker from Fungus Farm Colorado. We learned so much last time he stopped into the Gather kitchen that we couldn’t wait to do it again. This month he will again be providing us with beautiful, locally grown mushrooms to use in our dish. But that’s not all – we still have to talk food!
We’ll be pulling out all the stops for this one and hand making our own pasta, then hand cutting it into pappardelle. And that’s when our shining star, the mushroom, enters the scene. We’ll make a quick and easy mushroom sauce that highlights the flavors and textures of these amazing fungi. This class will be held workshop style. You will work in groups of 2, but each make your own pasta and share the sauce duties.
