'Disney's Newsies'

Starz Theater Company, a local children’s theater company, is thrilled to bring Disney’s Newsies to the local Colorado Springs stage. This is an all-ages show, so bring the whole family – you won’t want to miss this captivating story line and Tony award winning score.

Based on the real-life Newsboy Strike of 1899, Newsies takes place in New York City in a time when children worked the streets, factories, and sweatshops to support themselves and/or their family.

This inspiring story introduces you to New York’s finest, Governor Teddy Roosevelt and Joseph Pulitzer, and takes you on a journey of sassy reporter Kathryn Plumber and energetic newsie Jack Kelly in an uplifting tale of valor, love, unity, and the impact the oft-forgotten.
