Fox and the Toad

We are welcoming our newest member April owner of Fox and the toad.

April Lavely-Robinson’s work is best known for her dreamlike style and sepia color palettes. She is a Colorado Springs native and graduated from Tesla EOP in 2003. She gathers inspiration from nature, folklore, memories and life experiences to produce her work and combines both traditional and digital mediums. April begins her process with a detailed graphite pencil drawing, then, using a scanner she extracts the etching using an image editor program. Coupled with the graphite drawing she digitally paints with a stylus to create a combined hybrid piece of art. When she’s not creating she enjoys spending time with her two children and husband, watching movies, reading, and antique rummaging.
