The United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum is hosting a celebratory Hall of Fame Festival June 25-27 in downtown Colorado Springs for Team USA fans of all ages.

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum is hosting a celebratory Hall of Fame Festival June 25-27 in downtown Colorado Springs for Team USA fans of all ages.
“We are delighted to celebrate the inductees of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame, Class of 2022 here in Colorado Springs, Olympic City USA,” said Mayor John Suthers. “This festival is a wonderful way to celebrate our sports heritage as a city and show our support for Team USA. There will be multiple opportunities to meet and interact with hall of famers during the three-day event. It will feature a parade, athlete meet and greets, and showings of featured sports films from the International Sports Film Festival. The festival comes on the heels of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame induction ceremony for the Class of 2022, which will be announced in early June by the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the City of Colorado Springs to bring the Hall of Fame Festival to this incredible and passionate community,” said Phil Lane, acting chief executive officer at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum. “The legacies of our favorite athletes will continue to be told and retold here in Olympic City USA.”

Sunday, June 26
- “LFG” screening // 7 p.m. // Multiple locations in the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum
- This year marks the 50th anniversary of Title IX, and “LFG” documents the story of the U.S. women’s soccer team’s quest for equal pay. The documentary is 1 hour, 45 minutes and gives an inside look at the team’s journey to pay equity.
- 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. // Free soccer clinic led by hall of fame athlete // Location: Weidner Field (Ages 8-11 SOLD OUT)
- 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. // Free Colorado Springs Philharmonic concert with hall of fame guest conductors // Location: Ent Center for the Arts
- Hall of Famers Brain Boitano, Dorothy Hamill, Michelle Kwan, Erin Popovich, Mary Lou Retton and Lenny Wilkens, will be guest conductors at the free concert performed by the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. The one-hour concert will take place at Weidner Field featuring Olympic- and sports-themed music.
Monday, June 27
The International Sports Film Festival is presenting a pop-up film festival. Founded by Josh Merwin, ISFF’s mission is to provide filmmakers with a platform to share impactful sports stories that will inspire and educate audiences The ticketed screenings will be $5 per film and include a panel at the Museum. The films are:
- “Positive All the Way” at 11 a.m. // U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum
- Directed by Dr. Steven Ungerleider and David C. Ulich, “Positive All the Way” is a 34-minute documentary that focuses on the growing Paralympic Movement. Following the documentary, there will be panel with Paralympic swimming champion and hall of famer Erin Popovich. Directors Ungerleider and Ulich will also be joining the panel virtually, which will be moderated by ISFF founder Josh Merwin.
- “Waterman” at 1:30 p.m. // U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum
- “Waterman” shares the story of Hawaiian native Duke Kahanamoku, a hall of fame swimmer and considered the father of modern-day surfing. Following the film, which a run time of 1 hour, 28 minutes, there will be a panel with the director, Isaac Halasima and co-producer Chet Thomas along with Olympic gold medalist swimmer and hall of famer John Naber. This panel will be also be moderated Merwin.
- “Miracle” screening // 6:30 p.m. // U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum’s event space
- “Miracle” shares the inspiring story of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team. The team of amateur college players took the Soviet Union powerhouse and defeated them en route to the gold medal. The movie has a run time of 2 hours, 15 minutes and will include a cash bar and panel.
