Hear Here Poetry Open Mic & Slam

Hear Here Poetry encourages people to listen, write, and share together. Come early for a short writing exercise and then share on the all-welcome open mic!

Poets will have five minutes to read their original, or any covered works. A poetry slam is a creative word circus of performance poetry! Poets compete in three timed rounds with their original poetry and are judged by random members of the audience on a scale of 0-10.

There’s a $5 buy-in to participate in the slam, and a cash prize as well as a bar tab. Bring three original pieces, three-minutes or shorter, and join the fun! We can’t wait to share with you.
