'I See You'

Cottonwood Center for the Arts is proud to present an invitational exhibition for the month of May composed of emerging artists from across the state.

It began with a conversation about the difficulties of launching or maintaining an artistic career in the midst of a pandemic. This topic inspired the Cottonwood team to research creatives from across Colorado who were early career, and whose work demonstrated relevancy, talent, intention and growth.

Purposefully giving no prompt, we invited these artists to bring us a small collection of their work they are most proud of to share with the Colorado Springs community. With mediums ranging across assemblage, threadwork, painting, and beyond, this installation is presented with the intention of encouraging and inspiring all artists and arts appreciators, giving reassurance that even in difficult times, creativity finds a way.

We invite you to come experience “I See You” and enjoy two floors of open studios + galleries this First Friday from 5-8 p.m., and all month during normal business hours.
