SpeakEasy presents a performance by Jamal Parker. Parker is a writer, performance poet, and teaching artist.
His poetry explores Blackness, masculinity, mental health, and other contemporary issues. Parker’s poetry engages student communities around identity and social justice.
He is a two time International Poetry Slam Champion, having won Brave New Voices (2015) and the College Union Poetry Slam Invitational (2016).
