Learning to Read Food Labels

Heart Healthy Community Cooking Class- Sometimes there is so much information on packaged products – how do you know what ingredients are good or bad for your health? During this class, we’ll be learning how to read labels on packaged products, and what certain words like “natural ingredients” or “fruit-flavored” really mean. This will be an interactive event, so get ready to learn, and try a couple heart-healthy recipes made from canned/packaged products. Meals will be prepared and cooked in groups.
