'Lovers Nature'

Artist Statement:

Lover’s Nature is about using something that has a low value and transcending it while still maintaining an essence of it. I use vintage porn magazines from Europe and combine them with an element of nature to bring a different context to them. I also take the magazines text, and using a Burroughs-esque cut up technique, make short poems. Through these cut ups and translations and rearrangements a different form reveals itself to eventually create the final piece that still has a suggestion of what it was but is now something different.
