ABOUT THE PROGRAM & PRESENTER

The total solar eclipse of 1878 brought the world's greatest astronomers to the American West, just 7 years after Colorado Springs was founded. Tourists crowded our streets, while astronomers carted a huge telescope to the summit of Pikes Peak.

Come hear about one of the most exciting scientific events to occur in our city’s early history.
