Many of us know what it’s like to have our truths, identity and experiences denied. For the goal of this workshop, we will allow ourselves to create personal validations with process painting.
If you ever felt like you had to hide all that is you and to keep so many secrets, give yourself the opportunity to use art as a tool to release what you have buried. In the past, we may have been “shamed” into keeping so much hidden, but with art, there is no shaming.

If you ever felt like you had to hide all that is you and to keep so many secrets, give yourself the opportunity to use art as a tool to release what you have buried. In the past, we may have been “shamed” into keeping so much hidden, but with art, there is no shaming.
Process painting is a journey, which sometimes leads to insightful discoveries or it simply gives you the break from tension, fear or stress you may be enduring. With process painting, you can embrace that hidden voice within you and let it tell your story.
Note that materials need to be self provided for this art workshop. If you are in true need of assistance with this, please let us know by email when you RSVP, to see if we may assist you.

“My inner artist has always traveled with me throughout life.
The inner artist sometimes has a loud voice and at times life quiets it. Any periods of time I have allowed events to keep me away from my art had been detrimental to my health and well-being — because of this I want to
offer others the gift of art making, to share the joy and the healing it brings.
I studied at San Jose State University and completed my degree in Art Education. I am currently an elementary art teacher and I also do commissioned art. I dabble in all mediums, but I am most passionate
about painting. I usually paint whatever gives me joy – often my subjects are spontaneous. When I am not creating my art, I am enjoying my time with my family, friends and Colorado’s great outdoors.”
