Music Mondays: Jazz and Blues

The Fire & Wise Duo features John Wise on vocals and guitar, and Tommy Saxman Foyer on sax and flute. The duo plays tunes from the American songbook plus blues and Island music. John’s strong vocal lines bring to mind Louis Armstrong and the legendary bluesmen that worked in Kansas City, where John grew up.

John founded several musical groups in Colorado with Tribe being his latest band. Tommy started playing in bands at 13 and toured with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. He also worked as a backup musician for Frankie Valli, Michael Jackson, Tom Jones, and Lou Rawls.
