Music on the Layrinth: Academy Jazz Ensemble

The Academy Jazz Ensemble is a full sized big-band that performs and educates in the greater Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak Region and along the Colorado Front Range.

The members are public school teachers, private instructors, and other musicians from the area.

The ensemble performs in schools, at festivals, and for private events.

Their mission is to educate the public about jazz music; to provide an outlet for school music programs where teachers and students can perform and explore jazz music at a professional level; and to continue the tradition of this uniquely American art form.
