'Past and Present'

I had the privilege of viewing wall doodles that Leonardo DaVinci made while he was in Sanctuary at the former monastery of the SS. Annunziata in Florence.

He was in his late 20’s and recognized more as a trouble-maker than the genius he was. Think about how it would be to see, enjoy, and own an early original painting of Da Vinci, O’Keeffe, or Kahlo?

Most young artists (in terms of career successes rather than years) struggle to attain a first exhibition for their work.

“Past and Present: local artists who have studied with master artists, Mardosz and Dahlquist” gives these fine young artists a chance to be seen.

Some of the paintings demonstrate how the artist’s individual style and work progressed through the exposure to master artists, such as locally renown artists, Joanne Lavender,  Dean Mabe, and Karen Storm who are also exhibiting.
