Peak Arts Prize funds projects that amplify local arts to new audiences!
The Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region invites the public to vote for the finalists of the second annual Peak Arts Prize from March 1-15 at PeakArtsPrize.org. Expert judges have narrowed the 33 applicants in three categories down to 9 inspiring finalists. Now, the community will decide which projects they want to see come to life in the Pikes Peak region this year!
One finalist will be chosen in each category.
• Large Arts Organizations (Prize: $7,500)
• Small Arts Organizations (Prize: $5,000)
• Individual Artists (Prize: $2,500)
The finalists’ video applications, describing their project in 3 minutes or less, can be seen on the ballot at PeakArtsPrize.org.
Winners will be announced at PeakArtsPrize.org on March 18, and their projects will all happen in our community before the end of the calendar year.
Peak Arts Prize is a program of the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region, funded by The Fund for the Arts, a fund of the Pikes Peak Community Foundation. Video applications were accepted at PeakArtsPrize.org from January 10 – February 10, and attracted 33 applicants. The 9 finalists advancing to public vote were chosen by a panel of four expert judges whose bios appear at PeakArtsPrize.org/Rules. Peak Arts Prize is a prototype program, funded for 2018 and 2019.
