Picnic and Planes

The Western Museum of Mining and Industry invites the public to kick back on the museum property to watch the impressive aerial display of the Thunderbirds as they salute the USAFA 2023 graduates Thursday, June 1,  10am to 2pm. Bring a picnic lunch and chairs and blankets as you experience the Thunderbirds as they soar over you! If you forget your lunch, Little Bears Food Truck will be on site selling its delicious sloppy joes and ice cream floats.

The cost is just $5 per car and benefits the museum.  Museum members are free.  Make a day of it and check out the museum before or after the flyover.  The museum and its grounds are open from 9am to 4pm. Tours are at 10am and 1pm and are included in admission.  Separate admission applies to the museum.
