Prairie Dog Day

Presented by City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services at Bluestem Prairie Open Space, Colorado Springs CO

Feb 02 2020
Prairie Dog Day

Will the groundhog – uh, prairie dog see his shadow? What does that even mean? Dig in to this fun tradition while exploring one of the City’s lesser-known properties, Bluestem Prairie Open Space.

Explore Bluestem Prairie Open Space with a 2-mile guided outing and discover how prairie dogs are essential to the survival of many other prairie-dwelling creatures. Along the way, keep your eyes open for birds and other wildlife!

Binoculars will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Dress for cold and windy weather. Please leave your pets at home as dogs are not permitted on this property.

Registration is required and spots are limited – don’t wait to sign up!
