RMPBS KIDS Club Drive-In Night

Rocky Mountain Public Media (RMPM), the parent company of Rocky Mountain PBS (RMPBS), announces RMPBS KIDS Club Drive-In Night on August 28 from 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm, which will be held at the Broadmoor World Arena!

Following social distancing guidelines set in place by the Colorado Department of Health due to COVID-19, RMPBS has created a “Drive-In Night” version of the very popular in-person event from year’s past. For more than 15 years, PBS KIDS Fun Fest has provided an engaging, educational, inspiring, and entertaining event for thousands of families in the Colorado Springs region.

To take part in this event, parents and caregivers can register at rmpbs.org/blogs/rocky-mountain-pbs/rmpbs-kids-drivein-night/. During registration, participants will be asked to provide a license plate of the car they will be driving to the event, which automatically submits their name in a drawing for fun prizes. They can also pre-order food for the evening’s festivities during this registration process, which

will be supplied on the evening of the event through Broadmoor World Arena. If they so choose, families can also bring their own goodies to eat or drink. Pre-registration is necessary, with the limited capacity of approximately 150 cars for the event. Drive-in doors will open at 7 p.m. and parking spots will be first come, first park.

As families arrive at the Broadmoor World Arena on August 28, they will be greeted by Daniel Tiger, waving and welcoming them to the event from a safe distance. Each family will receive a swag bag full of PBS KIDS goodies and resources from local sponsoring businesses as they enter, which will be handed through the car window by volunteers wearing masks and gloves. Families that pre-ordered food will also receive their snacks at this time. At 8 pm, the drive-in show will begin with episodes of PBS KIDS Club favorites, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Odd Squad.
