Run to the Shrine

It’s just a hill…get over it! Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s Run to the Shrine is Saturday, May 17, 2014. Joggers, runners and walkers can show off their enthusiasm for the Zoo by registering for the scenic 5K course. Those looking for a longer course are encouraged to sign up for the 10K race, which boasts a 1,400-foot elevation gain. Both the 5K and 10K routes travel through the Zoo, up to the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun and back down, offering stunning views of the city far below. It's the only day of the year foot traffic is allowed on the road to the Shrine. Your registration fee includes race-day admission to the Zoo, chip timing and a post-event celebration at the Lodge at Moose Lake. Plus, registrants will receive a 2014 Run to the Shrine commemorative performance t-shirt!
