Saxophonist Tom Fowler

Jazz fans and musicians alike enjoy the variety, excitement, and spontaneity of a live jazz jam session. The April Jazz Jam Session will be hosted by saxophonist Tom Fowler and the musicians from Triple Play.

Open to all musicians – prepare a jazz standard or two of your choice and come down to the Armadillo Ranch to sit in with professional top-notch jazz musicians! (This is NOT an open-mic, please come prepared).

For thirty years, Professor Tom Fowler was the Director of Jazz Studies at Wichita State University. He has performed with artists Mel Torme, Doc Severinsen, Clark Terry, Vince DiMartino, Michel LeGrand, Manhattan Transfer, Joe Williams, and the Four Freshman.

Locally, Tom is a founding member of Triple Play delivering quality jazz from Traditional to BeBop to Contemporary with a sound described as classic jazz “with a twist.” When Triple Play swings hard, the room comes alive. When the group plays a ballad, their music melts hearts.
