The Pikes Peak APEX

The Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox is a world-class mountain bike challenge designed for amateurs, but the pros come out to compete for the $25,000 prize purse. The 4-day challenge has received great reviews since launching in 2020 and looks forward to welcoming participants back to Olympic City, USA in September.

Riders choose to compete in the 4-day challenge or pick from one of our 1-day options, and just enjoy the ride. The 4-day participants can race in the pro/open categories or compete for age group prizes. ALL prizes are divided equally between men and women. Whether or not riders land in the money, they will experience exhilarating, exceptionally crafted routes through dirt roads, jeep trails and the amazing alpine single track that is quintessential Pikes Peak.

The Pikes Peak APEX Run has been added for 2022, and runners will be invited to compete in the 50K, 10K or 5K, all leaving from America the Beautiful Park on Sunday, September 25th.

The APEX is a nonprofit project of Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance and supports Trail Stewardship to improve the trails and open space in the Pikes Peak region for the lasting enjoyment of its residents and visitors.
