The Story of Jacob Schueler

The Manitou Springs Heritage Center and Museum and the Mineral Springs Foundation, in celebration of the Manitou Springs Waterfest, proudly host author and historian, Janet Jewell and her presentation, “Returned From Oblivion: The Story of Jacob Schueler”.

After partnering with Adolph Coors to found the Coors Brewing Company, while simultaneously running his confectionery/bakery, Schueler bought a small bottling plant in Manitou Springs, Colorado.

He called it the “Ute Chief Mineral Water Company”, an enterprise that took all his energies until his death in 1918.
