This presentation will explore Penrose’s interest in outdoor recreation and examine the lives, social prominence, and frailties, of his three friends.

Spencer Penrose had an interest in a system of trails that once encircled Cheyenne Mountain. By 1918, the trails had been mapped and named for three friends and associates of Penrose. This presentation by Eric Swab will explore Mr. Penrose’s interest in outdoor recreation and examine the lives, social prominence, and frailties, of his three friends.
