'Women of Note'

The Velvet Hills Chorus, an award-winning women’s a cappella singing organization has been performing and entertaining audiences in the Pikes Peak area for over 50 years, and their upcoming show, “Women of Note” will celebrate women who have moved us, led us forward, and found a “noted” place in history.

As part of their commitment to supporting and encouraging other singers, the show will feature The America the Beautiful chorus, and quartet performances by Velocity, Free Time, and Ember.

All the singers come from many varied backgrounds, many varied careers, and many varied ages. But, they have found that music, and the gift of harmonizing with other voices, is one of the most beautiful parts of our human experience.

The Velvet Hills Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, under the direction of Darin Drown, and is dedicated to enriching the lives of its members and the community through education, performance and musical excellence.
