Educating Children of Color Inc.

The mission of Educating Children of Color Inc. is to dismantle the cradle to a prison pipeline for children of color, and children in poverty, through education.

Programs include ACT prep, Diversity University, and the annual summit, which brings noted speakers to Colorado Springs and awards scholarships and laptop computers to high school students.

The first Educating Children of Color Summit took place in January of 2008. Approximately 350 educators, students, parents, and juvenile justice and child welfare professionals attended the first summit.
Since then, attendance has increased dramatically.
