Cheyenne Mountain Trail Building

Presented by Rocky Mountain Field Institute and Cheyenne Mountain State Park and Friends of Cheyenne Mountain State Park at Cheyenne Mountain State Park

Join Rocky Mountain Field Institute for a day (or more) of trail finishing work on the Dixon Trail, the new summit trail to the top of Cheyenne Mountain!

We are doing some touch up work to a few of the switchbacks on the mid-mountain portion of the Dixon.

These will be full, strenuous, and extremely rewarding workdays for those up to the task. We will carpool to a higher access point to the trail but will still need to hike a steep 2+ miles up to the middle of the mountain.

Once there, our tasks will involve heavy rock moving and building at the work site. For those up to the challenge, we need all the help we can get to finish the Dixon!

This is a strenuous full workday recommended to volunteers in good physical condition.

Pre-registration is required.
