1st to Legalize

This representation of early Colorado scenes and the phrase “1st to Legalize” was created by Will Lancaster in 2013 for the One Love Lounge. The mural evokes the early days of Colorado’s gold mining history connected with the first days of legalized marijuana in Colorado. The coloring of the mural is intended to appear as a slightly faded old wall painting reminiscent of the slightly faded ghost signs seen on old brick buildings in Colorado City.
