This mural was created with spray paint in 2011 by Jason Baalman and shows historical elements and influences of Old Colorado City. Jason’s parents are owners of the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory building on whose west wall this mural is painted. Gold paint represents the precious metals found in mines that helped start Old Colorado City. See the photos below for details. (Source: Gazette article July 27, 2011)
