Welcome to your Dashboard {username}!

From this portal you can post and edit events, manage your artist or organization profiles, bookmark your favorite event listings, and more. Submit a new event to PeakRadar.com via the button below.

First time using PeakRadar.com? Make sure to peruse the Peak Radar 101 and explore the Event Listing Requirements and Additional Reminders below.

The farther in advance you submit your event(s) to PeakRadar.com, the better. We request that events be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event’s start date. This ensures your event is eligible for additional promotions, such as inclusion in the e-blast, Lodging Picks, and on social media. Every event posted to PeakRadar.com is reviewed and edited by our team before being published to the site. If we receive your event listing less than 48 hours in advance, your event will not be posted.

*NEW: Use the Opportunity tab to list arts jobs, auditions, calls for artists, and volunteer/board opportunities.

Edit or Cancel An Existing Event

You can edit existing events, update cancelled events, and remake annual events from right here in your Peak Radar dashboard. Visit the “Events” tab on the left hand side of this page and select “Manage Events.”

If an event is cancelled, please leave the event live on the site but put “CANCELLED:” in the front of the title. Use the “Edit” icon on the event you wish to update to make changes or set the new date for the return of an annual event that is already in your dashboard.

To return to your dashboard at any time, click “Dashboard” in the upper left hand corner.

Event Listing Requirements (Please Read Before Listing)

All events must take place in Southern Colorado’s El Paso or Teller counties.

The farther in advance you submit your event(s) to PeakRadar.com, the better. We request that events be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event’s start date. – Only public events may be listed.

– Events posted to Peak Radar should be leisure time or recreational activities, and have a specific cultural component to them.

– At this time, we are only able to accept event listings in English.

– We do not accept events that are solely:

          * Retail in purpose

          * Whose purpose is solicitation

          * Religious or political/partisan in nature.

          * Fundraisers

          * Networking Events

          * Events to recruit volunteers or board members

          * Organizational business meetings

          * From adult-oriented businesses

Event eligibility is also evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Class or Workshop: To reduce the workload around class listings, we created a directory of organizations that regularly offer classes and workshops, which you can see here. This directory will stay on PeakRadar.com year round and will be heavily advertised. That way, users can find the specific kinds of classes they’d like to take without having to sift through all active listings. We will point users directly to organizations like you if they are interested in learning about a specific artistic discipline! If your organization hosts non-workshop events, please continue to list them on PeakRadar.com! You’re also more than welcome to include a blurb in these listings that promote your regular classes and link to your website’s whole class calendar. If you would like to request your organization be included in the Classes & Workshops directory, please email support@peakradar.com.

PeakRadar.com reserves the right to edit graphic images and submissions for grammar, style, and accuracy, as well as remove any listings or profiles that we believe are not suitable for the site. While the Cultural Office does not believe in censorship, we do reserve the right to edit all submitted content to ensure accuracy and appropriateness for our Peak Radar audiences.

Additional Reminders

If your event reoccurs on multiple dates, please make sure to include these on the Dates and Times section of the same event form. That way, you won’t have to submit multiple event listings.

Please check PeakRadar.com for duplicate/existing event listings. Coordinate with other involved organizations to only submit one listing. Also, if an event is recurring/yearly, please edit the previous year’s listing instead of creating a new one. Old listings can be found under Events -> Past Events.

Allow 2-3 business days for the Peak Radar team to make any needed edits and get the listing live on the site. Please review your event both before and after it is posted. You will receive confirmation emails when your event is submitted and when it is approved.

Don’t just copy and paste a press release into the description box. Please take the time to fill out each section with the appropriate information; it saves time editing and makes for a much cleaner listing. Please do not use all caps when creating your event description or summary. Market your event – watch out for acronyms the audience may not know and show you are the event expert with impressive descriptions and images to sell your event.

In order to post your event, we must have a promotional image to display with your listing. Images must be in .JPG or .PNG format ONLY and no larger than 1.5 megabytes with a required minimum of 400 x 400 pixels to display. Depending on the size of your image and connection speed to the Internet, the upload process may take up to several minutes – please be patient. Once received, your image will be formatted for display. By submitting images to PeakRadar.com, you give Peak Radar permission to use those photos in promotional materials.
