Ivywild School: Elves on main hallway walls

This is one of a series of murals painted on the Ivywild School hallway walls in 1983-1984 by Marilyn Lane-Eggleston, a 26 year community liaison coordinator, to beautify the halls of school. Although Marilyn was not an art teacher she would, as requested by Ivywild teachers, provide art lessons as in-class enrichment. There are three different panels showing elves on the main hallway walls as well as a panel in Bristol’s office area. During the transition to a commercial center great care was taken to retain these murals in order to retain the school’s character. See below for additional photos.
