Tune in to this digital event to learn about the North American Colony of New Sweden, often left out of American history books.
The Colonial Dames' Rebecca Bromley will tell us her story about the early North American colony of New Sweden. In 1638, the New Sweden Company established the colony of New Sweden in America. The Colony was located in parts of New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.
Much of the history surrounding the development of this Colony never made it into American history books because the Colony did not endure. Many of New Sweden's residents continued their life in the New World and their legacy persists.
