Regional History Lecture Series: 'The Kingsleys in 1870s Colorado'

The Kingsleys in 1870s Colorado tells the tale of international investment intrigue—often with tragic results—an exploration of human relations in the attempts of four people from one family to bring cultural idealism to the Colorado Territory.

Author Tamara M. Teale will present her book, The Kingsleys in 1870s Colorado, to the McAllister House Museum audience.

In 1871 Civil War veteran William J. Palmer and his sophisticated wife, Queen, visited England on their honeymoon in search of financing for the Denver & Río Grande Railway.
