The Cloak of the Motion by Linda Fleming is on display through the spring of 2019.
Linda Fleming is primarily a sculptor working with steel, wood, rubber, felt, and paper, and is best known for her large-scale outdoor sculptures that draw from the desert and mountain environments surrounding her studios. She is a founding member of the artists’ community Libre in Southern Colorado.
The Cloak of the Motion is a monumental, flame-cut sculpture by the artist and the first public work installed on the grounds of the Ent Center for the Arts with a provenance of past exhibition at Socrates Sculpture Park, Long Island City, N.Y, the New Mexico State Capital Grounds, Santa Fe, N.M., Laumeier Sculpture Park, Saint Louis, and Linda Durham Contemporary Art, Galisteo, New Mexico.
